Get to Know Me
Betty Fuentes Cruz was born in Miami Florida and is the proud child of Cuban Immigrants. After graduating from Florida State University with Bachelors's in Digital Media Production and Political Science, she dove into live events working with Hispanic TV networks Univision and Telemundo on producing their music award shows. There, she was affected by the possibility of the impact large corporations have.
She moved over to the non-profit sector working in development and communication with nonprofits like City Year, the San Francisco Education Fund, and ETR. She currently works as a Marketing and Event Coordinator developing messaging and events that uplift marginalized voices.
Betty has realized her passion is in using the tools of storytelling to create a positive impact in society. She reminds everyone a new world is possible if we dare to dream of it. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Marketing from Florida International University.
