My Top 3 favorite Super Bowl Commercials of 2023

The 2023 Super Bowl brought out its usual scope of silly, powerful, moving, nostalgic, and sometimes not-great, commercials. With a 30-second spot going for about 7 million dollars this year, these ads were made to impress!

Here are my top 3 commercials for 2023:

The Farmer's Dog -Forever: This commercial got me! Maybe it’s because I have a dog or because I love a time-lapse moment. This ad was beautiful and emotional, and that last scene where you see her life through the dog's eyes, is perfect. Seriously, I guess I need to switch my dog's food now!

GM x Netflix - Why Not an EV?: I thought this Ad had the most impressive production. They had to mount multiple Netflix shows sets and scenes to film this and get the actors. It was impressive and fun, and Will Ferrell is always a favorite.

Bud light - Easy to Drink, Easy to Hold: This Ad made it onto my top three because it's not flashy. It shows a scene of a couple at home while the phone is on hold with someone. He takes out two bud lights and they begin to dance to the waiting music. It’s sweet, it’s simple, and feels very “real life”. Compared to the others, this one was refreshing!

Honorable Mention: The NFL’s Ad “Run With It’ features the captain of Mexico's Women's flag football team. It pictures her getting away from 100s of people trying to take her flag, including her mom. In the end, she's joined running down a street by other women football players from around the world. I love a women empowerment moment and thought it was great that they featured her mom talking to her in Spanish.
